Restaurant compliance services in Orange Beach, AL

Orange Beach runs one of the densest restaurant strips on the Alabama coast, and the season doubles the load on every kitchen in town. The two recurring compliance jobs do not take the summer off: the exhaust hood over the cook line has to be inspected and cleaned on the fire code's schedule, and the grease trap has to be pumped before it fills past the limit. This page lists companies that do that work in Orange Beach, several of them based minutes away in Foley and Baldwin County.

Hood cleaning companies

Alabama enforces the 2021 International Fire Code statewide, which requires the full kitchen exhaust system to be inspected for grease buildup on a set schedule: monthly for solid fuel cooking, quarterly for high-volume cooking, every six months for most kitchens, and annually for low-volume operations. A packed season can push a kitchen into a higher tier, because the cooking volume decides, and cleaning follows the ANSI/IKECA C10 standard whenever grease is found. Inspectors look for the service tag on the hood showing the company and date of the last service.

Grease trap pumping companies

The City of Orange Beach operates its own sewer system serving locations in the city and some nearby county areas. Alabama's food establishment rules require a grease trap that meets state specifications, and the common trigger used by Alabama utilities is pumping once grease and solids reach 25% of the trap's depth. Verify the city's current requirements through Orange Beach utility billing before assuming a schedule, and keep every hauler manifest on file.
