Restaurant compliance services in Baldwin County, AL

Baldwin County's restaurant scene runs from the Eastern Shore to the beach towns, and every one of those kitchens carries the same two recurring compliance jobs. The exhaust hood over the cook line has to be inspected and cleaned on the fire code's schedule, and the grease trap has to be pumped before it fills past your utility's limit. This page lists companies that do that work across Baldwin County.

Hood cleaning companies

Alabama enforces the 2021 International Fire Code statewide, which requires the full kitchen exhaust system to be inspected for grease buildup on a set schedule: monthly for solid fuel cooking, quarterly for high-volume cooking, every six months for most kitchens, and annually for low-volume operations, with cleaning to the ANSI/IKECA C10 standard whenever grease is found. Fire inspectors look for the service tag on the hood showing the company and date of the last service.

Grease trap pumping companies

Sewer service in Baldwin County is split among several providers, including Daphne Utilities, Fairhope Public Utilities, Riviera Utilities in the Foley area, and Baldwin County Sewer Service, and each runs its own grease control requirements. Daphne Utilities, for example, requires every food service establishment to have a grease interceptor and inspects them through the year. Rules and required records vary by provider, so verify pumping and documentation requirements with the utility that serves your address, and keep every hauler manifest on file.
